Save money as easily and impulsively as you spend it with Impulse Saver™ for iPhone for Westpac New Zealand customers. It allows you to save money on a whim, just by pressing a button.

IMPORTANT: By downloading and completing setup of Westpac New Zealands Impulse Saver™ for iPhone you agree to the Terms & Conditions. Read these first at impulsesaver.co.nz.

Impulse Saver™ for iPhone is only for Westpac New Zealand customers registered for Online Banking.

How it works

1: Download the app.
2: Enter in your name and phone number.
3: Pre-select the amount you want to save each time you press the save button.
4: A Westpac Customer Services Rep will then call you within a day to complete the setup process.

** PLEASE NOTE: Impulse Saver™ setup calls may take a few days due to high demand. We apologise for this delay, and will call you as soon as possible to complete the setup process.**

5: Once setup and security checks are complete, re-launch the app.
6: Then press the big, red button whenever you get the Impulse Saver™ urge and you’ll instantly transfer your pre-selected save amount from your main account, to your savings account.

Note: Save requests are processed straight away, but are subject to availability of funds.

Security & technical stuff

You can also use your iPod touch or iPad if youve got access to a Wi-Fi network and the App Store for the initial download.

Your Impulse Saver™ requests are protected by a certified encrypted secure connection (SSL).

We recommend you always adhere to manufacturers software and support to ensure your mobile devices are covered by the latest software and security updates. If youre connecting via a Wi-Fi, we recommend you use a trusted network.

Impulse Saver™ is also subject to Westpac New Zealands Electronic Banking Services Terms and Conditions, included in the General Terms and Conditions. Find these at westpac.co.nz.

While there are no charges for downloading the Impulse Saver™ app or making Impulse Saver™ requests, electronic transaction fees and charges may apply each time you save, depending on the accounts youve set up. See the Transaction and Service Fees page at westpac.co.nz for more info. Internet data charges may be incurred through your mobile service provider.

All information submitted by you during set-up and use of Westpac New Zealands Impulse Saver™ for iPhone will be retained by Westpac and used in accordance with the Privacy Policy set out in Westpac New Zealands General Terms and Conditions.

We reserve the right to modify or withdraw the service at any time. Access is subject to availability and maintenance.
